Why Outdoors?
Outdoor learning has been in vogue for some time now, but one of the biggest surprises about St Joseph’s is that it is set on a larger estate in which the children can take advantage of ‘welly walks’, pond-dipping and a much-loved forest school.
The importance of fresh air and learning outdoors has been well documented.
Outdoor learning improves physical health, boosts cognitive development, increases concentration, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Children build resilience, self-confidence and a deeper connection with nature.
